The quinceanera traditions is a celebrations of the young girl, and a recognition of her journey from childhood to maturity. This celebrations include God, family, friends , food, music, dance and a beautiful dress.
The Quinceanera celebrations include a special court:
- -Quinceanera (girl of 15 birthday)
- - Chambelan (escort the quinceanera )
- -14 younger couples girls and boys ( damas and galanes)
Preparations.
For your convenience, cost and time, the preparations of quinceanera party is better begin a year in advance, there are guest lists and menus to compile, invitations to order, the mass, quinceanera favors, the celebrations hall and band to schedule, flowers to order and, as in wedding, attendants to select.
Quinceanera Mexican Party Celebrations.
The Quinceañera is required to take a class at her church before her 15Th birthday. This class deals with her relationship with God and the Catholic community. This class was helpful in teaching me that having a quinceañera is not just one big birthday party. It is a celebration of being accepted into the Catholic Church as an adult. The quinceanera choose her chambelan and 14 younger couples, who will starts meeting on a regular basis in order to practice dance routines, one of which is the waltz that is traditionally performed at the dance.
Dress for quincenaera and chambelan and damas has to be choosing and all the preparations has to be finally ready when the day of celebrations arrive.
The big day start when the quincenera and chambelan and damas arrive to the church, with all the families and friends. The 15-year-old girl renews her baptismal vows in the presence of God. The parents offer this mass of thanksgiving in honor of their daughter's patron saint. Under the old tradition, the mass was performed on Sunday since it was the Christian Sabbath, but today, for convenience sake, the entire celebration is held on Saturday.
In the Receptions, the celebrations start with cutting a cake, very elaborated with a beautiful topping cake, decorate with her choosing colors. After that, the waltz start introduction the girls into the society.
Latino Quinceanera Celebrations
For any latino girl the quinceanera party is a big fairy tale event that most young Latinas look forward to sharing with family and friends. In the Modern Quince celebrations Family and friends dress in elegant gowns to attend the much-anticipated ball. The excitement builds the day of the celebration, when relatives and friends arrive with gifts while mariachis play Las Mañanitas, a popular birthday song. The girl wears a long gown of white or pastel colors, with graceful gloves, fancy shoes, a diamond tiara, and carries a bouquet of flowers. They also had the special dance with 14 girls and boys to create the court who will introduction the girl to the society.
Other Party Ideas
Other girls preferring a Caribbean Cruiser or today many possibilities offer Disney World for Quinceanera Party, they coming from differents country to celebrate the big Party.
El mariachi, sing the nigth before at the celebrations is one of the big ideas and very special surprise for the Quinceanera girls, prepared for parents, family and friends.
Today commercial marketing are include so many changes in this celebrations creating new ideas ,quinceanera favors, tiaras , pillows and specials elements that usually make the cost of this celebrations very high.
For me, really important for my future girl is to become the beautiful women , with qualities, believes and love. Today she is 11 and 4 years is going so fast, the preparation is not only for the party, if also mentally, emotionally and personal, because is going to being so many change in her life.
