The Threat of Black Molds
Black molds are slimy, greenish - black substances and little critters which can be serious threats to harm our health. These little creatures are also known as Strachybotrys atra or Strachybotrys chartarum and have been pinpointed as the main possible reason of death among babies who suffered respiratory bleeding, severe asthma and bronchitis.
Despite the fact that not all molds are harmful to our health, it is quite difficult to distinguish if the molds thriving in our homes are toxic or not. They should be tested in a laboratory to determine their types. But just in case the molds are not harmful, would you be willing to have them at home? Wouldn't you feel bothered by their presence?
Mold spores attach themselves to various hosts and are easily transported. They attach themselves to people, animals, shoes and even to windows, curtains and doors. They usually thrive, grow and multiply to moist areas of our house so it is important that we dry out our house everytime.
We can refer to the following suggestions to avoid rapid growth of black molds.
First, fix your plumbing problems at home. Although these slimy and tiny critters could now reside on dry areas, they do multiply more rapidly in wet places. Try to at least minimize the potential of their population growth.
Second, it is also suggested to disinfect the areas by bleaching them. Use black mold products to easily kill the molds and destroy their tribes. Black mold removal is now available in the market and you can do either going out for a shop or order the products online.
A solution mixed with certain amount or volume of water indicated on the black mold products can help kill these critters and destroy places that they tend to thrive. There are also soaps available to intensify the killing effect of the products.
Leaving the areas after a thorough bleaching is recommended but do take an extra care when drying them up. Spores of these molds may be released into the air and gets into your nose. In some cases, they aggravate your asthma and you will suffer from diffciluty of breathing, all because of these tiny but harmful species of black mold.
A more or less 2ft infected area of carpet will make this stuff a trash item. This makes the carpet "heavily infested" and professional help is recommended. Flooded bed sheets and curtains which are heavily infested may be regarded as trash items as well.
Consequently, it is important to follow some protective measures to stop black mold from growing. Use protective masks, gloves and eye protection to lessen the probability of having these molds gets in your system. Also, do not conduct the procedure with an electric fan or ventilation system around because black mold can easily spread through the air.
Having black molds at home is a serious case and it should not be ignored. For all you know, these little and slimy creatures may be a threat to your happy and complete family. Get up and move now, stop the black molds from growing and multiplying at our expense!
