Laser pointer button problem?
my bros blue/violet laser pointer's button seems to be jammed. It won't press down(the momentary switch on the driver board is stuck in place). But it still turns on and works perfectly fine and when you turn it upside down it turns off. But the only thing that we are worried about if that would malfunction the device later on. we can't send it back to seller so do you have any thoughts that could effect the laser in the future?
It seems that your laser pointer need to be replaced. The button cannot be replaced and repaired. So buy a new laser point from http://www.pickegg.com/wholesale/Laser.html, the price is very low and free shipping.

Hand-Held Acne Blue Light Therapy Devices, Do They Work As A Natural Acne Solution?
Could Acne Blue Light Therapy Devices be the the answer to a natural acne solution that works for the millions of acne suffers. Research by doctors at Hammersmith Hospital in London (UK) in July 2000 used blue and red light therapy produced by a lightbox on patients with mild to moderate acne for 15 minutes a day over a 12 week period. The results showed that on average there was a 76% decrease in the number of spots visible in the area treated on these patients. The trial was led by Doctor Tony Chu who claims that the combination of the red and blue light therapy attacks the bateria contributing to the acne and promotes healing.
Doctor Sadwick, a Manhattan dermatologist, wrote an article published in The Journal of Drugs in Dermatology. The article stated that though the exact mode of action was still unclear, it was believed that phototherapy destroyed propionibacterium acnes, the slow-growing bacteria linked to acne. Patients in his study used Omnilux Clear-U blue- and red-light therapies. Eight weeks after a month-long treatment course, Sadick said, acne lesions were reduced by 69 per cent.
The FDA approved blue light therapy for acne in August 2002.

i just made a 2nd “burner” pointer from a dead hp drive
and actually most “laser” diodes arnt true lasers, just super contaminated leds(spellcheck, i just left it as is)
but anyway, a “250mW+ 405nm Blue Violet Laser Diode Module with Adjustable Glass Lens, Tiny Heatsink for Laser module and 9 Component Driver DIY Kit with Glass lens” runs for $65 on ebay where as a raw 200 mw diode is like $15
far cheaper than a “as is” blu ray burner that may be a burnt out diode to begin with
