Bull Horn
What animal makes this type of wailing/bull horn type of noise?
I recently have heard a noise from an animal outside my house. It is like a wailing noise and it usually only occurs at night or in the very early morning (7/8 am). It is a mixture between a dying horse and dog... Almost like the hee-haw of a donkey, but with only the haw part. I dk... I was thinking it could be a racoon or opposeum, as we have those near our house, but I've done some research and nothing come up with that type of noise for those animals. It has been going on consistantly for the past few weeks. Anyone have any ideas?
I don't think it is a coyota as I don't live anywhere near the country.. i live in a city with no forrest or huge bodies of water. The most I hafe near me is a little lake and the only animals I have ever seen are opposeams and racoons... hmmm... also, as i have been thinking about it, the noise is more like a groanish type of wailing and really only does one long note of the same sound... any more ideas of what it could be?
It's a coyote. Racoon's chatter... I've never heard a 'possum do anything but hiss. I live in the country... I think what you're hearing is a coyote.
