The term itself simply means that you normally sell product to a customer (any modus operandi-web, brick and mortar store, home sales), order the product from a source who "drop" ships product to your customer. This eliminates you needing to carry inventory, but sometimes stops a sale because we like to have the things we buy NOW. Certain situations allow you collect up front for the shipment (preferred), some ask you to pay now, customer later when they get their stuff. I would be careful of any unknown company that will not provide you with the way to obtain outside information on them as a credible "drop shipper"-whether they are in the U.S. or not. Get REAL references from other of their clients, preferably in the US. Hope this helps.

Part of our decision-making process for the lighting package took into account the amount of exposed copper wiring. By limiting it to a minimum, we reduce the risk that people will try to plunder the lighting.
