chauvet megastrobe III, how important is the fan?
I bought two of these babies, and one of them it's fan doesn't work.
i'm wondering if its worth the shipping cost to ship this to get it fixed (it is under warranty, and besides I JUST got this, and the moment I pulled out of the box the fan wasn't working).
Is it worth it? Is the fan important on a strobe light? Perhaps it might be able to survive without the fan?
I'm thinking its probably not a good idea, but just wanted to ask.
Send it back - the fan is VERY important in any lighting unit that has one.

Oh ok, interesting. While I like the lighting and color in this shot, one thing you could do, assuming the web and spider are still in place, is play around with other light sources. Turn off the fluorescent light and direct a light source or two from another angle, just to see how it affects the photo. It may not result in a better photo, but it would be a chance to experiment with some technique.
