Would it be wise to let humor directly intervene sadness or sorrow?


If you watch news and TV in general then this is all too common an experience there, as all types of things are piled up together in a ten or so minutes long new bulletin, or at the command of your remote controller. In movies, I have often seen tragic juxtaposed with light or comical scenes.

In real life, however, things are little less exaggerated and more real. We could feel sad one moment, and the next we like to feel happy and cheerful again. It is possible that one moment we are all joyful and laughing, and in the next, we encounter a situation requiring more respectful and somber mood. This is the fact that whenever we are sad , we like to cheer up a bit, which in my view is all too human a need.

But should we use humor to take away the blues? Or, should there be something else following sadness to to interpose?

It's sometimes nice not to take life eriously. Humour is the only way we put a smile on a grimly face or with an expresion of sadness. That smile brings a hope that life is not the end. We must move on to the next journey.

DMX lighting controller programming part 2

My PS3 won't work. Help?!?


I was playing a game and during a cinematic scene, the visuals suddenly froze but the audio was still working. Afterwards, I decided to turn off the PS3. When I tried to turn it on again, there were no audio nor visual response. I made sure all the cables were properly connected so it's nothing to do with loose cables. Not only that, the controllers won't even connect to the system. I tried restarting it several times but there's no change. The lights show the normal blue and green. When the problem first occurred, I had spent less than half an hour playing on it, so I don't think it's an overheat problem. The game was Devil May Cry 4 if that helps. Anyone got any solutions?

    The Motley sisters had an important influence on our mother, Jocelyn Herbert who was trained by them at the London Theater School run by Michael St Denis and George Devine. Jocelyn continued to support the Motley School throughout her life as it expressed much of the values to which she aspired in her work. These values were integrity to the text and sensitivity to the environment that scene,lighting and costume created that bore a powerful impact on that text. It is therefore vital that the Motley school continues.
