Dance Floor Must
16th birthday entertainment equipment?
For my 16th I plan to turn my spacious living room into a dance floor by clearing out all furniture.
My concern is that Im not too fond of rowdy DJs so I would prefer to just rent large speakers and play music off of a laptop.
What other equipment would I need to pull off a dance party without a DJ?
* And if you think DJs are a must for a dance party, would it even be possible to get one last minute? ( as in 3 weeks notice)

So Im having my sweet 16 on August 29th, 2009 but i need a place that is reasonably priced... a dance floor is a must and its going to be formal...
well....the Marconi Manor wasnt too bad. i didnt have one in a hall....but a friend of mine had hers there, and it was kinda cool. there was a buffet, a dance floor, a DJ, a dining area, a bar (served non alcoholic drinks for the party) and a bathroom in a separate room than where the party was..and im pretty sure it was reasonably priced.
