Hi lilmansmana,
The Beanie Babies market has crashed and hit bottom. It was only big while the craze was big. Now that craze is gone and they are about a buck each. There are still a few that pull $5 or $6. Go check ebay for the values of the ones you have.
Go on ebay and search for any particular beanie you have. Then click the 'Completed Listings' box on the left. This will show you what people actually paid. If the price is in green, then it did sell and you know the approximate value of yours.. If the price is in red or black, than it did not sell and your beanie is likely worth less than that.
For an example, I looked up Chipper. There were many completed listings, so I am confident that we can get a good estimate. There were several that were $1.49 and $3.99.
Do not rely on any price guides, either printed in a book or found online. They are always out of date and contain massively overinflated prices. Their purpose was never to help other sellers. Instead, it was to help drum up business for the company and early, large collectors.
Beware of companies offering you cash for your beanies. These are scams, whose sole purpose is to get money FROM you, not give money TO you. They state a large price, IF the beanies meet their quality standards when you ship to them. Guess what. They never do. And these companies will be more than glad to return your beanies to you, if you pay shipping AND a processing fee. Scam. Get money from you, not give money to you.
Good luck!
