dmx Lighting How To
How do I turn on DMX scanners?
I'm working a thing at my church doing the lighting and i know how to do lights and everything but how do i turn on the scanners? (In other words... I turn the Dmx controller on but the scanners don't go on with it.) It works and everything too. Thanks please please help!!!!
make sure they are plugged in and wipe them clean
press the on button then check the wires to have them correctly connected and if that doesn't work crack into the manuel and see and maybe return it to the store where you bought it trust me they will understand with your receipt or send it back to the manufactured.

How to set up DMX lighting part 1
Drama Production Help?
Does anyone know how to clear a DMX-44 lighting controller? I'm working on the lighting part of our drama production and can't seem to be able to clear it from the old programs.
When you power up the board, on the display you will see an option called "Set Up"; or if it's slightly old school, the button will be on the board itself.
Once you are in set up, you will see an option to "clear all cues". Choose this option and it will clear out the cues that are programmed.
Easier than doing that though is just to overwrite the cues as you build them. No need to empty the board, just write the new cues, save as cue #, and it will automatically save over any old cues.
Harder to give more details as I don't know the year or specific make.

EDIT: I just realized you might be talking about clearing the channels themselves, ie. if you have any preprogrammed faders. If so, I suggest you do a search for the manual as that process is a little more specific to the board.
