Everything Never Stops
The settling wind bring the notes,
Of the soft, silver music the bird chirps.
The neighboring star shines high above our heads,
The water of a creek moving along the current.
This bright, shiny haven you are now in,
Is filled with laughter and amusement.
Excess in elation and delight,
The sun never stops to shine.
Trees everywhere, flopping in a dance,
The air conducts each subtle prance.
The creatures of this imaginary place,
Move all about in their crazy pace.
They hop and leap, they run and jump,
They live in a harmony.
That will never stop.
Predator stalks prey, prey tries to run,
Predator won’t stop ‘til the deed is done.
The land feeds the plants, all the crops,
If this was not done, the whole cycle stops.
If one thing fails, all else would fall,
That is why everything never stops.
your first and second stanza don't rhyme, but 3, 4, 5, & 6 do.
I like the poem, but the rythm is absent in the first two stanzas.
maybe refocus on the mood or feeling of these first two and fit them in with the rythm of the rest of the poem.
but good. good meter and rhyme with the rest.
