what does the %vol mean on alcohol?
can somone please explain simply what the %vol means on alcohol?
PEACE!
That just mean how much of the volume is actually pure alcohol. Ex: 10 mL of 40% means that there are 4 mL of pure alcohol.
Also, the proof is twice the number of %vol. 100% alcohol would be 200 proof. The highest I know of is Bacardi 151 which is 151 proof meaning 75.5% alcohol.
