Fog Haze Fluid
Here is my new poem. What do you think? (I'm not really depressed)?
"In this ocean"
In the distance
There is the sun
Shining through the haze
My vision becomes blurry
Yet I can make out
The ocean in front of me
I wander through the fog
Feeling the sand
Sink beneath my feet
Footprints appear behind me
One by one
I come to the shore
Broken shells meet my feet
Leaving droplets of blood
To soak into the ground
I enter the water
It is cool and fluid
Against my skin
Wading out further
I feel my feet lift up
Kicking out behind me
Moving me towards the ocean’s center
Once here, I stop
The water grows warmer
Slowing my pace
It seems different
Running across my skin
It feels like thick blood
I float on top of it
Letting my body relax
Loosing all control
The water drapes over me
An overwhelming warmth
Clouds my senses
Like a blanket
Comforting and peaceful
I let it pull me down
It rises over my head
And I sink into the depths
I like this, but I think some of your wording as in "Once here" should have been once there. You are confusing the present with the past as in the rest of the poem. But all in all I like it, somehow I referred it to hard drug use... lol Everybody gets something different from peoms.
