Fog Machine
Will a fog machine set off the smoke alarm?
I'm planning on using a fog machine for a school project tomorrow. Are there any dangers to doing this? Will it set off the smoke alarms? We dont have windows in our classroom but the rooms are semi open (my school is weird)
Every fog machine I've ever had experience with does not trigger smoke alarms. You should be fine. If you're still worried, test it out at home on your own smoke detector just to be 100 percent sure.

Halloween party fog machine PT 2
is it possible to intstall a fog machine in my truck?
it could be me on this one but i think it would b kinda kool to have a fog machine and a black light in my truck
All things are possible. Some are just real dumb.
It seems that the Tew estate decided that the fog earlier was a poor example so have made their own fog machine.
I would look into mounting a computer fan to the back of each box. You could buy 115V AC fan and tap in after the AC switch. Think of the fan and strobe being connected in parallel to the AC line but after the switch. If the strobe has a DC power supply, you might be able to tap in there using a low voltage DC fan. The attached link does not discuss adding fans to strobes but it does provide some good info as to strobe operation and troubleshooting. Oh, and for added safety you should consider adding a fuse to the line.
