Green Laser Diode How can I make a red laser beam visible?
Is there a way for a red laser beam to be seen from diode to wall? I know a fog machine will work but I was hoping that there were other ways without having to buy a green laser.
Smoke or fog will work. There are also 100mW red lasers out there (wickedlasers.com should do the trick) that have some visibility in daylight, but this always depends on there being something (even the tiniest amount of dust) in the air to scatter off of.

Where can I buy cheap laser pointer components?
A laser _pointer_, like you get on a keychain, can be bought for $10 or less. Where can I buy just the laser diode component for (much) less? I would love specific URLs that list these, and the prices must be less than $10 for red and $80 for green laser diodes. Or, if it's not a laser diode in these things, what's it called, what should I be looking for?
I bought 3 of them in Walgreens Drugs.
They were $2.50 each and came with 3
extra batteries in each package. These
are Pen type but the laser should be
accessible. These are Red. I was very
surprised to find them so cheap. I used
one of the batteries in another device.
