Hook Lighting Clamp New motherboard issue biostar-a770 a2+?
just got shipment in last week. biostar a770 a2+ was noticable defective, bent i/o ports, various capacitors bent at 20 degree angle. rma'd, newegg was awesome on that. got replacement in. Hooked everything up on static free mat and proper gloves.
processor first, stock heatsink(windsor 5600+) clamped and plenty of thermal juice (rosewill 500w) 24pin from powersupply. 4pin 12v connector, 2gig gskill pc6400. psu lights up for half a second and cuts off, cpu fan doesnt spin. no light on motherboard. So far!! i've tested psu on another system, works just fine. used cmos jumpers to clear the cmos. and thats where im at. trying to stay sane before i go to work tomorrow & test processor in another system and try an alternate processor in this motherboard. anyone know of any issues with this motherboard?? assuming it is not doa. i've read that you need bios update for quad cores, but dual-cores should work straight out of the box correct?? any help appreciated.
did u connect usb port cables out of ur casing and other
reset and power button and hd or power led wires
correctly ... try plugging in everything but not the
usb cables (if there are any) plus not the reset or
led cables from the casing , but just plugin ur
power switch cable out of ur casing
and try switiching it on ...
this happend to me one time cuz i attached some
led and usb cables of the casing in an incorrect way ...
by the way make sure u connected the cpu fan to
the cpu fan port in ur mother board not to the system

2004 Nissan Armada service engine soon light on?
My Nissan Armada '04 service engine soon light has been on for a while. I took it to get a NYS inspection and they said not to get the inspection until I figure out what's wrong with the engine because if they hooked it up to the computer it would be an automatic failure.
I recently had to replace a part of the muffler/exhaust pipe because a clamp was missing and they had to weld a piece of piping on.
I was just wondering what the possibilities were that might be wrong with it and appx. how much it might be to fix?
also: have never had any problems as far as stalling or anything.
Is it possible it could just be a sensor thing?
Many auto supplys will read the code for free once you have the code ask to write down the freeze data. That is data in the computer when the engine light turned on. I can with that information help you have the correct part replaced. Electric ARC Welding on electronic control car with the computers and electrical system plugged in is not a good thing. I will go out on a limb and guess P0420 or P0430 that is left side cat converter or right side cat converter both warrantied for 8 years 80,000 miles.
