Green Ray LED interview with Sonoma Chocolatiers
There is no picture on my tv when it is on, but only a green led light?
I have a Sony KV-28HX15U and the televsion doesnt respond to anything not even the remote. Just the green LED light is on to tell me the televisionis switched on. What could be causing this, also what can be done to correct it?
First, change the batteries in your remote. They may not be completely dead but if they are low the TV may not respond.
If that doesn't do it, then Press the Standby (on/off button) on the set, so that the LED goes off. Then press it in again, so it comes back on. Sometimes it doesn't make full contact, just enough to turn the LED on. My TV is several yrs old and I had to replace the Standby switch once.
If that fails, turn off the "Standby" button, unplug the TV and wait about 30 seconds. Then plug it back in and press Standby again. Like computers, sometimes the best cure is just to shut it down and start over.
I remember when My dad replaced his mechanical adding machine (one with a side-mounted crank handle) with Casio’s very first electronic calculator. It cost over $1000 and if you did 2 X X 2 on it, by the time it got to 32768 it took about 3 seconds to produce an answer on the flickering LED green display.
When our sense of self worth is rooted in our accomplishments or our acclaim, then we will always be subject to the dis-ease of “crippling comparisons.” always wondering “how do I measure up?” And no matter how good that is, there is always, always someone who can do it better, faster, longer. When you are a very exceptional writer, like yourself, I would imagine that that self assessing could be tortuous at times. My guess is that it's not about the content or the mastery of the word or literary style, but the authenticity that you feel about the things you write about. I'm sticking my neck way out now, but you do that all the time, so I draw inspiration and courage from you. But I detect in your post a little bit of the old “critical parent” towards yourself that Transactional Analysis made famous years ago. You are too hard on yourself. Maybe your mind needs a rest; maybe new material; maybe a new experience which will renew and refresh the well springs of creativity. Also a little bit uncomfortable with attributing writers block to sin in one's life. If by sin, we are talking about being too into the mind, need for more stillness and silence, needing to be in control or be right or be best, then I understand. It's OK to be led to green pastures and still waters where we don't necessarily feel like we are getting anything done. That's where we get our soul's restored. And the ego hates it. Hope I have not taken liberties, but if so, forgive.
Have your vendors replace all old/outdated vending machines with energy star vending machines. Could save up to $1,000.00 per year per machine.
Change out all older exit signs (that are on all the time) with new LED green edge-lit signs. They look modern and use way less energy than the old style. ROI in first year.
Change out old toggle light switches with new occupancy sensor light switches. Can cut office lighting bill in half.
Replace older refrigerators with new energy star refrigerators.
Replace older computer monitors with 28 watt LED monitors. Less wattage, less heat, less cooling, less energy costs.
Change out older 40 watt T-12 fluorescent tube office lights with 28 watt T-5 lights. 30% less wattage (30% less lighting energy cost) and a cooler temperature office environment. Also light “flicker” is much less noticeable because of newer ballast technology. T-5's are also available in natural light color spectrum for improved working environment. T-5 replacement bulbs are the same cost as the old fashion T-12's.
Change out old 400 watt warehouse lights with new T-8 or T-5 high efficiency – high output fluorescent lights with occupancy sensors. Cut your warehouse lighting bill in half. Reduce heat from lights and lower your summer warehouse cooling costs.
Install solar panels to help defer energy costs. Solar panel system costs have decrease 50% in the last 3 years.
Keep in mind that energy costs are only going to increase, which will speed up the ROI.
There are many more suggestions and don't forget to check for local, state and federal rebates for replacement items. These listed are some of the easiest and most cost effective with a quick ROI.
