Lighting Display Where is the most outrageous Christmas lights display in or around Cincinnati, Ohio? ?
I'm looking to compile a list of outrageous and amazing Christmas light displays. The bigger the better. I loved going to look at lights as a kid, and I'm looking to help spread that joy by helping others locate wonderful light displays.
Yeah, the guy in Mason got in trouble for having it at his house, it got moved to the park and they charged money to see them, but this year it was canceled due to it being too expensive.
Are you including commercial displays, that you have to pay to see? If so, a few I'd include are Festival of Lights at the Cincinnati Zoo, there is a big lights display at Sharon Woods (forget what its called), and The Beach Waterpark has a big display too. A little further afield are some other cool displays: Ludlow Falls (where they put lights behind the waterfalls and light them up, along with a lot of other displays), Clifton Mill, and Ft. St.Clair in Eaton.
I can tell you where a real ugly display is too, for kicks, there is a house at the corner of Hamilton-Mason Road and Walnut Creek in Liberty Township that does one of the most ugly displays I have ever seen every single year. Always good for a laugh anyway, especially the huge uneven star they make out of a string of lights on the side of the house. There is also a house on Del Rio in Hamilton that has a horrible display, the whole yard is full of lightup figures- literally hundreds of them. And they are there every day of the year as a bonus. Just be sure to roll up your windows and lock your doors if you want to see that one.
