I have a pair of 300rms (600wattsPeak) subwoofers with a mono amplifier at 1500watts ...question below...?

How would I go about wiring them ? The sub-woofers are dual voice coils 4ohms each.
I was thinking of wiring them to 2ohms so they then would get about 750 each from the amp.

Now is that too much? I know my limits and wont go over board on the loudness, could the subs handle it? Or should I wire them to 4ohms each and let them split on 350 watts each? Both amplifier and sub-woofers are high quality and a very good brand I got them from a pal, I just want to be sure about the wiring. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

:)
Thank you, for your help. Can you tell me how the wiring for that would be then ? Please?

Will not work on the 2ohms.. Look at your peak on the subwoofers,it's only 600wt. I would wire them on the 4ohms. Try not to max them out though, since they run normal at 300watts. Always go a little over the wattage on speakers than what your amp puts out to keep from blowing them.

RETRO 176 - Limiting amplifier Valvolare

What is meant by recommended limits of an amplifier?

If i have the Vout graph of the amplifier and no clipping is seen, does this mean that the amplifier is operating within its recommended limits.

The amplifier limits are things like maximum total power rating and the impedance of the speakers.

If you're not seeing any clipping, then you're likely within the amplifier's limits.
