Line Terminator Lighting
how fast does the terminator line move across the planet?
How fast? The reason I ask is because I saw a video of fighter jets and was thinking that, perhaps, depending on the speed of the terminator line, you could keep up with it as it moves across the planet and stay in the same light conditions.
Depends on where on earth you are. At the equator, it moves at about 1100 mph.
At the north pole, of course, it doesn't move. So yes, there are certainly places where a jet can pace the terminator when moving east to west.
