Help my 3 mth old baby feeding is eratic?
From day one he has always been really quick in his feeding being breastfed he would take on 1 side only for max 8 mins & then be done. So I started expressing & even that he only took 2 oz at a time. I introduced formula for night feed but again everyday is different In what he takes & when he does. I have tried to stretch his feeds but can't as he cries too much even when I try n ignore him to stretch his feeds. But at night he lasts 4-5 hours most nights. During day it's practically every hr & half. I've tried the whole wake him up tickle his feet nappy change but doesn't work. Over a 4 hr period he mist drink 6 or more oz but never together. His weight has been fine so far! Just want to be in more of a routine now!
You poor thing. Have you tried giving him a pacifier between feedings. Your son should be drinking 5-6 oz every 4 hours or so. I am dealing with the same thing with my daughter. Sometimes she drinks all 5 or more sometimes just 3 and then is hungry in a couple of hours again. I can't wait until she is 4 months and I can try rice cereal.
