Noise Reduction Is there a drum head out there that has some type of noise reduction?
i've got a set of remo clear pin strip heads on my kit and it rings too much. is there a head out there that has a noise reducer built in instead of putting something inside the drum?
I use Evans drum rings on my toms - 10, 12, 13 and 16. They're clear rings. They go on the top of the head and you can easily take them off. Most music stores should have them. They reduce the ringing a lot.
Bass drum heads I put a blanket inside the shell before putting the head on. Although some heads (like Aquarian's stock) has a built-in silencer.
