Pci Cable

My Windows 98 program won't work with the Ethernet cable, I think I need a driver - PCI Ethernet driver?
Somehow some drivers got deleted or something. What drivers or programs do I need to get this to work? Where can I download them?
Check your System Information or Device Manager to get the full info on your NIC card, then go to manufacturer's site under Spport and look for the driver for the network card. Some may be listed under the operating system so be sure to get the one for Win 98.
Normally, Windows has a generic driver that will work for you. May have to use the Internet Connection Wizard Win 98 has to get all this set up.

How can i make a wired network with 2 pc using a cross-over cable and two pci cards?
i want to make this network for gaming only can you help me?
Thank you!!!!
you need a router or one computer to act as the router somehow...you'll have to google for that...but a router is required for a functional LAN, so you can play games locally...thats why they call it a LAN party
