Overclocking Q6600 on a P5Q-PRO motherboard using just A.I. Tweaker?
Basically I want to know if I can crank up the speed to 3.0GHz without touching the voltages and using only the A.I. Tweaker on the board.
I have a Thermaltake Qfan 750w, and the system case temperature is currently at 19 degrees Celsius.
Core temps at Idle:
CPU: 20*
Core 0: 19*
Core 1: 23*
Core 2: 20*
Core 3: 21*
With EPU-6 Engine automatically set on Max. Power Saving Mode.
Core temps with 100% load Prime 95:
CPU: 49*
Core 0: 54*
Core 1: 54*
Core 2: 52*
Core 3: 52*
With EPU-6 Engine automatically set on Turbo.
If it is possible to overclock safely, I would also appreciate if you could note all the changes I have to make to the A.I. Tweeker to get this overclock.

I do not have an aftermarket cooler on the CPU.
You might be able to squeak to 3.0Ghz but with stock cooling I think your temps would be high. I am not familiar with A.I. tweaker and probably would not use it all together as I;m guessing its some sort of software controlled OC utility.
I have had little luck using software to OC and find it much easier to just make the changes in the bios. I am typing this on my Q6600 right now at 3.4ghz and I just used one of the cheapy coolers from newegg, Go to newegg and search for Rosewill RCX-Z1 and pick one up for $9.99 and oc that puppy to 3.4ghz
