Prong Connection Lights
how to get two way toggle switch to work?
I bought A blue 20 amp two way toggle switch and some little lights that are like beams and want to put in my 93 acclaim,. The lights had a ciggerette lighter connection til I cut it off then tried to connect the + and - to the car battery and it didn't turn the lights on. I don't know how to hook up a toggle switch and don't know why the lights didn't turn on. Plzz help cause my dashboard lights do not work and I need those lights. The toggle switch has three prongs- (supply volts) (on ac) and (earth ground).
power always works in a circular motion...
u have power in and out and earth...
on ur toggle switch there are either 2 or 3 prongs to connect ur cables to...positive, negative and neutral...or if u like on off and neutral...or woteva u want to see it as...
the positive cable needs to be connected to positive on the switch...
negaitive to negative and earth to earth...
negative cable is usually the wire with a black stripe on it...

Tips and advice for HP Pavilion DV1000 AC Adapter
The ac supply was plugged in to the P Pavilion DV1000 AC Adapter and I could see the power was lighted up. Checking the output voltage of the power adapter I got about 19 volts which is good. Even though the laptop has lit and correct output voltage, this doesn't mean that the HP AC adapter can maintain when there is a load connected to it. This HP Pavilion DV1000 AC Adapter was not built into the circuit thus it need an external power adapter to power it up. The input to the laptop is 19V with 3.1 Amp from the HP ac adapter. Since the complain was no power, we have to test it out to check if the laptop ac adapter is at fault.
It is very easy to recharge a laptop battery using laptop ac adapter. Once the power becomes drained, you can simply re-plug the laptop to a wall electrical outlet using the HP Pavilion DV1000 AC Adapter cord that came with the laptop and the electrical current immediately begins to recharge the battery.
