ps3 blue ray drive wont take discs..?

My Playstation 3 had a bad blu-ray drive, I switched them (using the controller board married to my system) but now Im having problems with the new blu-ray drive. Whenever starting the system the blue led flashes even though there is no disc inserted and the motor to move the arms starts rotating (the arms dont move however because there is no disc inserted so the gears aren't lined up.) After the motor stops the blue led turns off but the system will not take any discs. also a note that may or may not help but if I insert a disc while the led is flashing the led turns solid blue and the motor stops running and my disc is still not pulled in by the drive.

any help is greatly appreciated!

I posted a video on youtube hopefully it helps!

you know more than me on this matter it seems

Light Bars Effectively Clear the Way

Traffic can be congested on any highway at any given time, especially in a large city. Getting to a location where there has been an accident or another hazardous situation means that police and rescue and law enforcement personnel need to get there as fast and as safely as they are able to without endangering others on the road. Light Bars make this possible. Most people know that as soon as they see a vehicle coming up behind them with the Light Bars flashing they need to move out of the way or even pull over and stop.

Light Bars are devices that are manufactured specifically for emergency personnel, and they come in various shapes and sizes with different colored lights. You will most often see a series of red, white, and blue flashing lights on the Light Bars that are mounted on a police car; however other colors can be used. You may see red and red, red and blue, red and white, blue and blue, blue and white, amber and amber, or green and amber flashing lights. Any of these combinations signify some type of emergency vehicle is attempting to clear the way.

Light Bars may flash, rotate, or burn steadily; depending on the department and the type of vehicle they are installed on. Fire trucks will have a rotating light, ambulances will have Light Bars that have a steady burn, and police cars will have lights that flash in some type of sequence. Each department may use a particular color to differentiate one kind of rescue department from another. Volunteer fire department personnel use a blue rotating or flashing light to let motorists know that they are on their way to a fire. Always give way to these people as they make their way through traffic. It could mean the difference between life and death.

There are also Light Bars that have a siren incorporated into them. Along with the flashing lights, the accompanying wail of the siren will let the motorists know that they need to move aside to let the vehicle through. This is the unwritten rule of the road when it comes to emergency vehicles. Beginning drivers need to learn this before they even hit the road. It can save a life in time, or increase the chances of apprehending a criminal. Parents need to instill this knowledge in any of their children who may be learning to drive.

The light that comes from Light Bars is so brilliant that it can cause harm to your eyes if you were to look directly at it. Use caution if you are in an area where a Light Bar is in use. Staring at a light this bright may cause you to become disoriented and unable to see for a period of time after. Use common sense when you are around flashing Light Bars.
