arial signal amplification?

Tv signal - signal amplification?
Hi I recently bought a SLx6F 6 Way ariel amp/distribution box fm maplins and am running 5 tvs off of it, 4 of these are normal cathode tube tvs and the pic is great, however one the lcd one in my bed room the signal is "fuzzy". Each out put gives out 12dB UHF Gain, there is however a " Full 18dB output socket" also, i was wondering if i plugged it into that if that would cure the problem or can anyone suggest anything else?

its just a normal tv signal from my norm tv ariel

It can depend on how long the cable that goes to the 'fuzzy' tv is and what quality it is.

If it is the bog standard brown or white aerial then you will lose more signal the long it is rather than if you used a cable type called CT100.

This is used by satellite installers to go from the dish to the box, but it can be used for normal signals as well, i personally have it running all over my house for the normal tv signals.

It costs a bit more, but it works a bit better over longer distances.

The only other reason it might appear 'fuzzy' is if the signal is too strong for the tv tuner. Simple test, try unplugging the aerial from the back of the tv and hold it near the socket. If the picture is better, then get an attenuator. If not then it is the cable to the tv.

The Signal Analysis Meter is a full-featured handheld signal performance meter providing a complete signal test system in easy-to-carry protective case. Signal Analysis Meter allows choice of 4 pre-programmed user-selectable band plans accessed via keypad entry for easy measurement of broadcast, CATV, CATV/HRC, and SUB/VHF channels.
