To all Mac fans?
What would you like the future Macbook Pro to be like, what feature or design, or any other personal taste would you suggest?
As for me:
1 I wish they bring the keyboard closer towards user instead of all the way up next to the LCD.
2 The silver color is already HOT, but they should make them in Black.
3 Should support Blu-Ray disc.
4 The apple remote should also have a LED logo
5 Should definitely support a powerful GPU.
6 Improve Glossy screen, but please don't remove matte screen.
7 The keys letters should light up at times for easy visibility.
8 Remote turn on and off the system, also eject CD/DVD
9 An apple Logo with light should be on the touchpad, like the Dell XPS M 1710
10 Price should be the same as the current Macbook Pro.
11 Built in Media reader.

no. you wont get 3-5 years out of it. The technology turns over faster than that.
4 years ago nvidia's big deal gpu was the 6800. These days that wont run much at all. Its just the way it is. gpu industry has a release cycle every 6 months, and the ante ups.
CPUs advance pretty quick too. In 2004 the big thing was PIV's, which are pretty much on the margin now for gaming.
The next big thing will be 6 and 8-cores. they are not far off release now.
its a good build but if you want to future proof yourself, consider a crossfire motherboard (or sli if you have to have nvidia gpus). The advantage is that in 12-18 months time when you need more grunt, you can just slot a second gpu in. At that time the 9800 will be retailing for probably less than $100. This is the most cost effective way to keep a gaming machine up to speed. You will get more bang for your buck than cpu/ram upgrades can offer, and its a lot cheaper than buying a single, high-end card.
I would suggest to you might consider 4850(s) instead of the 9800gtx. They out perform the gtx's by a wide margin, and in many cases (high aa) they will also out perform the gtx+. There also isnt the board failure risk with ati at the moment compared to nvidia
