Sky Starry Night

Dear friends, what is the 'Pros' and cons' between 'The Sky 6' vs 'Starry Night Pro Plus'?
Which is 'overall' the best and better?
[Could you list up their specifications etc..?]
Thanks..and cheers..
What's better a Ford or a Chevrolet? The only advantage I can think of is that The Sky 6 "seems" to be supported by more telescope mounts, as far as controlling the mount using a laptop. But even this is up for debate?
Personally I use Cartes du Ceil, Stellarium, and the Meade planetarium software to control my telescope for free. They all work just fine using the ASCOM drivers, and the add-on program for Stellarium. Running XP service pack 3.
Recommend you try these first before you spend any money and see what you think about the free software.

EDIT: of the three listed above only the Meade software has a virtual hand controller that can be used to ALIGN the telescope from a laptop. I own a Meade telescope by the way.

Starry Night Identifying the Night Sky
Are you fascinated by the sky and the stars?
Unless light pollution is stopped we won`t be able to see the night sky in the future. If you are concerned sign the petition at the government site below.
http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/starry-night/
Wouldn`t you think that all the people who ask and reply to questions about astronomy and space, would like to see light pollution reduced. Only 7 replies, sad.
Efez_haz. Point a laser at it.
Hi All, there is no best answer, just spread the word. Thanks
I am very interested and have signed this petition.
Even if you do not live in the UK, PLEASE sign it, so that us Brits can get darker skies. All astronomers should be diligent enough to do so.
May I ask everyone to state wheather they have signed the petition please?
