Spot Lamp Bulb I have a light switch next to my door but no light. Is there a tool I can use to tell where the bulb outlet is?
There is a light switch next to my door. It does not control any of the power plugs in my room so I would assume there is a spot for a bulb outlet somewhere in the walls. Is there any detecting tool that will tell me where the switch leads to in the walls so I can install a lamp?
I have tested all the outlets.

Lighting for my first repitle(crusted Gecko)?
i got a crusted Gecko and i just set up his cage but i dont know what to do with the lighting i got the kit so i have a UVB bulb and this Basking spot lamp.I dont know when to turn on each light or what each are for and i should have asked.I also have this Terrarium Hood that allows for each bulb to plug in and i really need help and please tell me which is for which and for how long to i leave it on for.please help and please ONLY answer if your are sure of your Answer.
you ditch the spot lamp if your rooms gettin to cold this time of year use a heat mat or a 25w ceramic (thermostats needed with either) but crested gecko suffer from heat stress at temps over 85F and should really be kept between 72-80F
as for uvb low levels during the day wont do any harm but higher levels (over 5 %) could causes eye/skin problems
Paper lampshades are fine as long as they’re horizontal from the bulb, not directly above it. (I’m assuming a normal 60W incandescent lamp bulb here; obviously if you’re using some exotic super-hot type of lighting the considerations might be different.) I have a cardboard-and-paper lampshade in my bedroom that’s several years old and has outlasted numerous bulbs, and the paper is much thinner than those plates. It’s fine.
