What color would you paint a stage wall?
My house has a stage (the size of a small rock club's stage) in the lower level, and we are in the process of choosing all the colors of the walls to be painted. I'm having a hard time choosing the right color for the wall on the stage because I will be using stage lights and/or colored flood lights. The stage will be used for a rock/metal band where some parties may take place and/or some videos may be filmed. I want it to look at least half decent, somewhat like what you would find in a club.
My issue is this: with colored lights being used, what type of color/shade should I paint the wall? I hear that stage walls are usually dark, which is better for stagelights, but I also don't want the paint to change the hue of the stagelights.

I need help with my camera?
I have a Canon Rebel (non-digital) - and I have to snap some shots of some actors onstage. I'm trying to get "action shots" and facial expressions but I dont know exactly how to capture them so that the picture comes out beautifully. I also have a telephoto lens that I purchased, but when I used it before, I had the stabilizer on and the pictures ALL came out blurry and "shaky". They were horrible. Also, the lighting of the club/stage is always dark, with more light towards the stage, and i dont know how to set my camera to a "basic set" so that I dont have to keep changing settings while I'm shooting the actor on stage. i also am not sure how to use the built in flash. Can someone please help me out? i have a big job to do in a week and a half and i have to get these shots PERFECT. please help, thanx. maybe i can trade my camera in for a digital but i cant do that right now, i cant afford to pay the 'diffrence' in price.
Judging by the equipment and the stage lighting conditions I would suggest forgetting about action shots and ask the actors to hold a pose for you long enough to get the correct exposure. You'll also need a tripod to keep the camera steady long enough especially with the telephoto lens. Otherwise use the camera hand held with flash but you will probably need to be on stage with the actors to get close enough for flash to be much use unless you have a powerful one. Good luck!
I can see myself dancing in the crowd! the sound was bad the entire fest especially when Midnite was on stage. I work as a stage lighting tech in Puerto Rico and i can tell the sound company didn't do a good job and the video crew never got the projector to work right, that's the price to pay by hiring crappy labor and cheap companies.
