Stand Lighting Truss
If I have two stands that can hold 300lb and turn them into a truss will it hold twice the weight?
I am using square truss to hold up the lights. I need to know because square truss has a weight that I need to factor in to the overall weight. I am planning to make the square truss 12 feet wide. This should not be a problem though knowing it is square truss. Tell me what you think no one can quite tell me if it changes the maximum weight or not because I am given different answers.
I think that instead of holding twice the weight if put together and the distance apart is doubled then they will only hold half the weight.

How do you use a c-clamp to attach a dj light to a lighting truss or stand?
I am a dj, and I bought this stand for my lights. It looks something like this...http://prolight.co.uk/images/media/11/1118/1118100/STAN02/STAN02-wf0.jpg.
However because I bought it used, it didn't come with any attachments so i could attach the lights. I bought some c-clamps because they were recommended with the stand on the website, but i don't know how to attach them. They look like this...http://www.long-mcquade.com/files/497/lg_cclammp.jpg.
Please someone tell me how to use them. I don't get it..thanks in advance.
