Strobe Lights Flashing
Why do the Carolina Tarheels light their strobe lights during the game?
The strobe lights used during introductions, etc. are randomly flashing during their games. These lights are mounted on the ceiling. I think its a form of cheating. Could they be practicing with the lights while their opponents don't? Would that give them an advantage? These aren't camera flashes.
Simple... North Cackalacka (Carolina) are a bunch of cheaters... They whine to the refs every chance they get and when a ball goes out of bounds everyone on the team points toward their possesion... trying to use the power of suggestion... And I have seen it work for them..
And I have a question as well... What the hell is a Tar Heel... I hear it has something to do with history or something.. weak.

Car Strobe Light To Hide And Highlight
As a general rule, you hide something when you do not want anyone to know that the thing is around. In the same way, you highlight something when you want everyone to know that the thing is there. Hidden objects are always kept hidden and exposed objects are always kept in the open and the two fall in two distinct categories. A car strobe light is an exception to the general rule in that it comes under both the headings at the same time. It is kept hidden with the sole purpose of highlighting it sooner or later.
A car strobe light is like a policeman in mufti. He goes around in mufti because he does not want anyone to know that he is a member of the police force. But when the time comes to let others know who he is, he will take out his identity card and reveal himself. The car strobe light of the vehicle that he uses also behaves in more or less the same way. Strobe lights are often mounted as hideaway lights in headlights or taillights and it never gives away its position or its existence till it is necessary. When it is time to proclaim that it is a police car, the car strobe light can be activated to flash with high intensity. It is a must for a police car involved in crime investigation and related undercover activities.
A car strobe light can also be mounted inside the vehicle on the visor or deck or dash in a low profile manner and activated during emergencies. It may be used either for illuminating the car interior or for focusing on something outside. Some vehicles get a car strobe light installed as an additional light source for extra warning or for specific visual tasks. Besides that, lots of private vehicles also keep a car strobe light for help during emergencies. Strobe light units generally have an extra cooling fan to limit heat buildup within the vehicle.
The highlighting job done by a car strobe light is best seen in show cars. Many a car strobe light used in show cars are double purpose in that it will work on two surfaces of the car, say the rear side and front, or above and below, or below the car and on the grille of the car. Manufactures offer a lot of customization for show car strobe light so that some prefer to get it fitted on their subwoofers and controlled to play along with the music. The operator can change the speed of the lights as well as its flash patterns with the light control box.
A car strobe light designed for off-road car shows will have more colors and more flashing options than those meant for use in emergency vehicles. However, certain flashing patterns are banned in certain states in show cars and the user must have proper knowledge of local rules before he uses a strobe light. The law does not prevent anyone from owning a car strobe light, but different rules guide its usage on emergency vehicles and for off-road shows.
