Is there anyway that I can hook up my 7.1 creative s750 speakers my television?

I'm looking for a device that would let me hook up my 7.1 creative s750 speakers to my television. I know that the Creative Decoder DDTS-100 does the job, but the item is discontinued. The item can be found on eBay, but it usually runs for $200+; retail value is about 100 -150. It's already possible to buy a decent brand new 5.1 surround sound system for $250. Any information on any item that can do the job would be very helpful. I'm located in U.S, down the street from Creative headquarters (sent them an email already).

Well, assuming these speakers are for computers they would probably have the jack for a computer, such as the earphone jack. Now, at the back of the speakers if the cable is dettachable then you can get one cable which is Earphone jack tot he Re/White Plug. Otherwise if the cable is not dettachable then you can try and find an adaptor that will split the earphone jack to a red/white plug. They shouldn't be too expensive like $10-20max.

Can I connect my pc to a surround sound system?

I have a creative sb live! 5.1 sound card with the usual 3.5mm front, rear and sub outputs, the sub output also doubles as an spdif digital output. I was wondering if I could connect the spdif to the coaxial port on the back of a 5.1 surround sound amp without needing any other equipment? Ive heard some people mention needing decoders when using digital output from sound cards, will i need one to get full surround using this setup?
What kind of reciever do you mean 'people'.....?

I think so ...
