Sparkle Lighting Effect Why are there flashing specs/dots when I shoot in low light on my Canon Vixia hf s200, is this normal?
I just got a new Canon vixia hf s200 and it films magnificently. However, due to my OCD/paranoia I have recently noticed an imperfection that has been bugging me. When I view my low light or night time HD video on a big screen, I notice small, sometimes, white specs flickering in the darkest areas and even in the less dark areas. They are kind of subtle almost like a sparkling effect. Nothing any "normal person" would notice but it makes me wonder whether something is wrong or it's normal for digital HD cameras shooting in low light to do this. In well lit or daylight situations there is no problem at all. BTW the canon technical support isn't very technically supportive, guy gave me a half-assed answer. which is why I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this and can give me some feed back. Any response would be helpful.
Its the low light, so you can say its the camera but its not a fault,

Photoshop elements 6 lighting question?
I take a lot of portrait shots outdoors of my two little ones and I am trying to edit my pics to get the perfect lighting effect. I really want it to look like the sun is shining through the trees in the background and give the effect that their eyes are sparkling.
Does anyone have an easy step-by-step guide for me, please?
I have been looking at tutorials on youtube but anymore tried and tested tricks would be great for this learner!!
Thanks in advance.
Here's a tutorial for light rays. But the first answerer is right - it's best to get it with the camera.

Sparkling eyes: create a new layer above the photo's layer and zoom in and use the Brush Tool and light colors to add highlights. Try an Overlay or Softlight blending mode (on the dropdown next to the box with "Normal" in it) and tweak the Opacity (the box that says 100%).
