Size Is essential! - The GIANT Banner display Revolution
If you are accustomed with trade shows and the kit required to put on an impressive show, you will have no doubt come across the main product of any of these displays - the humble banner stand. The usual size for these stands is approximately 80cm wide by 2 metres tall, which provides more than enough visual area to get your idea across to prospective customers. There is a drawback however; everyone else has a similar stand. In small to medium exhibitions these banner stands are ubiquitous, but with good reason. They provide a balance between budget and transportation, the last point being the main factor in their favour. However, if you allow yourself to think differently, your stand could outperform your competition with only a little more spending.
As referenced previously, the average size of a banner display is 80 centimetres by 2 metres. This is the standard size but is not your only solution. dependent on your exhibition space you can maximise this size both horizontally and height wise to create some awe-inspiring displays.
If you are displaying in an exhibition hall with lots of of ceiling space, you may want to consider maximising the height of your banner display. Banner stands can be manufactured vertically up to 3m tall, enabling your banners to overshadow the basic 2 metre display height and increase visibility in a bustling exhibition environment. This is a real bonus when the basic cost to hire an exhibition space can be phenomenally expensive. What you will find is that the increased cost in buying a bigger banner display will more than pay for itself with increased interest in your display at your trade show.
An alternative to a very high display would be an extremely wide banner display. These can be manufactured in sizes that average 2m high by 1m, 1.2 metres, 1.5 metres and 2 metres wide. Any of these displays would maximise the impact of your display immensely, but if you really want to blow people away you may want to think about an even more dramatic solution.
At a height of 2.4 metres tall, the largest banner stands can be manufactured at widths of 2.4 metres and even 3.2m. If you consider the scale of this, the display area is bigger than an expensive 3x4 popup stand! These displays dwarf most other exhibits to the point where it is impossible not to pay attention to them. These banner stands are also more economical and simpler to set up than a similar sized pop up frame with fiddly graphic panels. Imagine a single printed graphic, 2.4 metres tall by 3.2 metres wide that simply recoils back into its cassette when you are done for easy transportation home in a Transit van or similar vehicle.
With the recession not yet finished, businesses are still unwilling to put money into exhibitions and tend to try and limit their spending whichever way they can. This is often a false economy and could mean an trade show is a complete waste of money if no one takes any notice of what is on offer, no matter how fantastic the products or services may be. With a little extra cash, your exhibition display can move beyond the realms of average and become phenomenal.
