Technical theater Lighting
What is the best way to get into Technical Theater?
When i was in high school we had a class just for technical theater, making sets, running the sound and light boards and stuff like that. Is there any place in Georgia that i could learn to do it professionally?
Hmm...well, if you're in a University, they probably have classes available - you could even enroll in a University nearby to take a few, or ask the Profs if you could sit in on them for free. Local theatres would be another great place to look. Community theatres always need extra hands, and if you're willing to volunteer, I'm sure they'd love to teach you how everything works.

How to make a ParCan out of a bean can?
So, in my technical theatre class my classmates and I decided to make a parcan out of a bean can for our lighting project. When we decided this we didn't think there wouldn't be a tutorial on the web! So, obviously we can't find one. Does anybody know how to make a parcan out of a bean can? If so, please post directions or something! Thanks!!
