invisible stage curtain theatre?
hi does anyone know what it is called in theatre when there is an invisible curtain, i remember that after a scene when the lights dim and after they come back on theres another setting behind the last setting on the stage which has been there the whole time but wasnt visible to the audience,is there a theatre word for this? thanks all answers appreciated
You mean a scrim? You can only see what's behind a scrim if it's lit from behind. If it's lit just from the front, the light reflects off of it instead of going through.
