How to change settings, such as bass, by using only the remote on the Samsung Home Theater System HT-Q70?
ok well when you turn on my stupid samsung home theater system you cant see anything on the display screen, the whole thing is just a green light (i think it is a burnt chip or sumthing)
nd this is a problem because i cannot turn on the volume or change the settings on the system UNLESS i use the remote control
nd what i want to do is change the bass on my home theater system but i dont kno how becuase i can only use the remote control nd i cant see what im doing 
so i was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to tell me step by step what buttons to click to change the bass settings on my samsung dvd home theater system HT-Q70

Samsung HTiB's have an on screen display. With no disc in the machine, press menu. Cursor down to Audio, then Sound Edit (I think). From there you can adjust the right/left balance and level of the rears, center and subwoofer. There is no real equalizer, the best you can do is to make the sub louder or quieter.
Samsung also puts a "Sound Edit" button on the remote control. I don't particularly recommend using it since you can't read your unit's display.

Electronic billboard too bright and faces my house? ARRGH!!!?
A new electronic billboard was just installed near the highway that runs across a huge open field across from my historic home. The sign is huge, extremely bright and flashes every 10-15 seconds casting flashing light onto my house. This is a generally rural area in PA, so this sign is a bit out of place. The sign cheapens the area, looking like someone took a sign from Las Vegas and placed it at my doorstep, or like a drive in movie theater just playing picture clips with no sound. If you look at our house with the billboard to your back, you can see the light illuminating the house and the back yard at night. I am so upset by the sign being put up that it is consuming me. I can't believe this sign was allowed to be constructed across the street from my home...
I'm just wondering, what are some steps I could take to have the sign taken down, turned or at the very least, dimmed? I'm serious about taking steps towards it's removal so I would appreciate any good answers. Thank you.
hey! free lighting! you don't have to use so much lights!!! woohoo! haha. but really, i think you should go to your city and complain. where our school is, the homeowners complained about a lighted sign at the corner, so we had to dim it. sice i have never filled out a complaint, i don't really know. see if your city has a website where you can get more info. or go to the city hall and someone should be able to help you.
