What is more Economical to buy a HDTV and a stand or a Projector and a screen and wire it through the ceiling?
I have a old 32'inch Sony TV and i replacing it this christmas with a HDTV or a projector and a screen.
-if possible i want it to be 1080p and have HDMI inputs at least two
-hooking up a PS3 and Comcast HD cable from box and home theater sound system
-Its in a basement so there isn't much light
-if possible under $1000
Unfortunately, there are no reasonably priced HD 1080p front projectors selling for $1,000. Most HD 1080p front projectors sell for around $2,200 and upwards.
You don't have to wire a front projector through the ceiling since the projection bulb would put a lot of heat when the projector is fitted upside down, rather than upright. Instead, place the projector on a coffee table and route the cabling under the rug or along the sides of the wall. It's simpler that way.
For a screen, you may want to pass on it since it requires mounting hinges. Check out at goosystems.com for a special movie paint which sells for around $150.00. The paint is customized to your particular projector. This way, you can maximize the image at the furthest wall without hammering any nails or bolts for screen mounts.
My favorite HDTV 1080p DLP 4X projector is the Infocus X10 which sells for around $2,200.00. The replacement bulbs last up to 5,000 hours [in the econ mode] and are reasonable to replace.

Planning a Wrestlemania 26 party....?
I have a big basement with a 63' screen, 1000 watt surround, theatre lighting and I am having a Wrestlemania 26 party. I am asking for some serious answers on how to make it a cool party and festive for the event. I want it to feel cool, but i cant think of anything to do with the room. I am expecting some smartass answers to this, so trust me in advance your not hurting my feelings. Thanks.......
You should invite me. The party would be awesome after that. 
Seriously, though, try some WWE paraphernalia spread around, make some Wrestlemania themed food and drink, and just make it an enjoyable time for everyone there.
