Types Of theater Lighting
Songs for a coloratura?
So my voice is more coloratura than musical theatre. I'd fit more in an opera than a musical.
I've got an audition coming up (for a musical) and I was wondering if anyone knew any good (not over rated) songs for my type of voice. My voice is NOT light, so don't say something like "Green Finch And Linnet Bird" or something cute like that.
Phantom of the Opera classifies as "over rated" too.
Any suggestions?
"Glitter and Be Gay" is a good choice!
Another one to look at: "Art is Calling For Me (I Want to Be A Prima Donna)" by Victor Herbert
If you want something more "musical theatre"-sounding, look at Crossword Puzzle. I recommend this one often to singers with a more "legit" sound, as it works very well and it also shows off your acting ability. It's from the musical Starting Here, Starting Now.
It's definitely NOT overdone -- when I need an uptempo audition piece, this is the one I use (and I'm technically a dramatic soprano -- not a light voice).

Finding The Perfect Home Theater Décor Can Make Or Break Any Room
When looking for the home theater décor there are so many things to consider, but it all boils down to preferences and available space. If you have plenty of room you can do just about anything, but even if your space is limited there are several things that can be done to add depth.
