What material should I use to make a lamp?

I want to make my own lamp.
I'm going to use some extremely bright LEDs, and to make it look like a normal, and above all, stylish lamp, I need a diffusing material.
It has to let light through, yet not so much that it's transparent like a window. It also has to be white, and I want to shape it in my own style.
What kind of material is it I'm searching for, and where can I buy it?

Try a big vase that is opaque, cut a hole in the back for the LEDs and fill it up, you could also top it off with some small colored glass balls popping out of the top

5mm RGB White LENs Diffused LEDs (6-2-2010)

where can i get cheap batteries and LEDs?

I need to find cheap CR2032 3V Lithium Batteries and 10mm Non-diffused LEDs (in any color, preferably a random mixture of red, green, bright blue, yellow, purple, and white) that I can buy in large quantities. I also need a place where I can get the same amount of translucent balloons as the LEDs. Got any ideas? Thanks!

Oh, and I need all this for a cool project I got from Instructables.com. Check it out!

It is really cool.

P.S. i already checked eBay, and I'm a beginner, so i didn't know what all the terms meant. I just need a simple, Easy-to-order website that i can understand (I'm 13).
And neither me or my mom has an eBay account, and everybody that I know wouldn't bother to bid on LEDs for me.

Do an Internet search for Electronic Surplus. I have bought led's super cheap ( as little as a penny each in quantity) from an electronic surplus store called The Electronic Goldmine. They may even have the batteries you need. For the balloons I would try party supply stores.
Update: I just checked Goldmines website and they have 2000 green Led's for $15.00 and they have CR2016's.
